Head roller Magnets – Ferrite 1800 Gauss
The 1800 Gauss ferrite head roller magnets for recycling are suitable for separation of ferromagnetic (Fe) particles from a continuous material flow.
They are not suitable for separation of weakly magnetic metal particles.
1800 or 3000 Gauss head roller magnet? An advantage of the 1800 Gauss head roller magnet over the 3000 Gauss version is the lower price. The 3000 Gauss version removes Fe particles from 0.5 mm, and the 1800 Gauss version from 1 mm. Furthermore, the 3000 Gauss version has a 4 mm thick shell, and the shell of the 1800 Gauss version is 2 mm.

| Working principle | The head roller attracts Fe particles in the product flow and carries them to the underside of the belt. The Fe particles drop off there and can be collected and carried away. |
